History of Fleischmann Family Farms

Fleischmann Family Farms is a family owned Polled Hereford operation located near Osceola, Nebraska. We began raising Polled Hereford cattle in 1992 when we were living in Centertown, Missouri. We purchased 4 bred heifers from Ivan Bowlin of Eldon, MO. These heifers came from Banner and Renegade bloodlines.  In 1995 we added 4 additional bred heifers bought from Charles Walker of Dixon, MO. These heifers carried the bloodlines of Banner and Domino.

In the summer of 1995 we relocated our cow herd to Pleasanton, Nebraska and then in 2002 we moved to a farm outside of Osceola, Nebraska.  Through the years we have built a maternal bred cowherd by using the following bloodlines. Boulder, Justa Banner, Ned, Wrangler, Digger, Einstn and Vaquero. Our sire bloodlines are Feltons 517, NJW Z17 Vaquero 25C, Circle D Wrangler 832W, Circle D 832W Einstn 28E and NJW Charlie Russell 72 F.

Herd sires used in our program have been LEG FELTONS TRADITION 02, BAR JZ ZORO 654M, SH ROCKET R231 and RV STOCKER 6662.

We currently have new calves from RV Stocker 6662 at home and are very excited about the light birth weights of under 80 lbs. from our first calf heifers. Several breeders have already obtained semen from RV Stocker 6662 for the 2008 calf crop and those with calves on the ground are pleased with the calves and have already ordered more semen for this years breeding season.  AHA Spring 2008 EPD analysis recognizes RV Stocker 6662 for the following traits in 7 categories: birth weight, weaning weight, yearling weight, scrotal, fat, ribeye and intramuscular fat.

AI sires we have used are PGF BEAU VICTOR 579 F2, PW VICTOR BOOMER P606, CIRCLE-D WRANGLER 832W and BR MOLER ET, and HARVIE LADIES MAN 4L.

We believe in cattle that excel in a balance of traits with performance being the priority. Our maternal bred cows combined with the sires we are using naturally are breed leaders that are backed by strong, productive cow families. Traits found in our program are calving ease, pigmentation, balanced EPD’s, bone mass, natural thickness, and milking ability.

Our mission at Fleischmann Family Farms is to provide a functional animal that will perform and enhance the commercial or purebred programs.
